5.0 out of 5 stars  Lightweight but solid ramp, easy to use

The ramp arrived quickly and is surprisingly light. It feels really sturdy and solid. We have an older dog with joint issues and a younger large retriever who likes to play in the mud and before the ramp arrived we would lift him into our car and then find ourselves covered in mud also! It’s easy to use, simply unclip the safety clip and guide the extender down to floor level. We noticed it has rubber stoppers on each corner, these seem to add extra stability.

It took some brief training to get our dogs to use the ramp, as usual treats did the trick and now they associate the ramp with going out for a walk so they are happy to use it.

Our vet prompted this purchase as he warned that dogs can suffer or make worse joint injuries if allowed to jump in and out of vehicles so we are hoping the ramp may prove a health benefit purchase as well. All in all a good choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars  Great Purchase

I bought this ramp for my 10 year old choccie lab Rufus. My cocker Hamish, in the picture, may need it in years to come. The ramp is being tested currently as I roam the highlands and islands of Scotland wild in my Defender. This has involved using the ramp on Calmac ferries. I am delighted that it slides effortlessly so I can quickly and safely achieve getting Rufus into the Defender or down from it. We are living in the Defender for the month so space is at a premium. This ramp is readily strapped by bungee thingy to the inside of the Land Rover. The dogs and I have ample room to kip. It is light and Rufus has taken to it like a dream. The ramp has already been admired! To the next ferry and Scottish Island !

5.0 out of 5 stars  This is the one!

Brilliant. Well made, light, strong, easy and quick to use, excellent design. Incredibly sturdy - has a well-fitting curve at the top which lies flat on the rear sill of boot, and two rubber stoppers underneath at the bottom to further aid stability. Has kind of very coarse black sandpapery stuff on the actual walking area which goes a heck of a long way towards preventing paws/claws slipping, even in the rain. I familiarised the dog with it in the garden first, and in fact, discovered another use - we have a very strong iron garden table which can now double up as a grooming table, as I can walk the dog up onto the table using this ramp. Much easier to groom a dog at table height! Really good, well-designed, quality purchase - highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars  Fantastic ramp and great company to buy from

I did a lot of research before I bought this ramp. Although it wasn't the cheapest, it is so sturdy and yet light and easy to put up and down that I know I bought the best. Now that the dogs are used to it, they happily march up and down rather than jumping and putting strain on their joints. This is particularly important for my elderly lab who has arthritis in his spine and back legs. It doesn't move at all, even when the daft flatcoated retrievers leap about on it.
The service from Hewitt and Blue was prompt and I love the fact that they donate an amount from each sale to animal charity.
